Representations

I am on the governing committee of the Irish Catalysis Society, which aims to promote catalysis research, education, and industrial applications across Ireland. Moreover, I am one of the members on the ICHEC Users Council, responsible for providing formal feedback on the National HPC Service to the ICHEC executive committee on behalf of the whole users community. As part of this role I input my views on operational matters, users support, scheduling policies, software provision. Recently I have contributed a case study to the ICHEC advisory report to the government, regarding the implementation of the new HPC infrastructure (CASPIr). Whilst at MU (as the Chair of a Athena Swan subcommittee) I was also involved in the All-Ireland Network for Gender Equality in Chemistry, which was recently featured in the June issue of Chemistry World. I would be interested to continue on this network, and have started to reach out to relevant people in the School. 2024

I am currently a guest editor on the MDPI Inorganics special issue "Metal Catalyst Discovery, Design and Synthesis", handling manuscript submissions and the review process. Additionally, I have acted as the external examiner of a MSc thesis (University of Lincoln) and have agreed to be the external examiner for two PhD theses (one University of Oxford, one University of St Andrews) with dates of the viva voce planned later this year. Within the School, I have been the internal examiner on two transfer vivas as well as the PhD thesis. 2024

I am a frequent reviewer for several international journals of learned societies, including (but not limited to) J. Am. Chem. Soc., J. Org. Chem., Angewandte Chemie, Nature, Nature Chemistry, Nature Communications Chemistry, J. Phys. Chem., Dalton Transactions and PCCP. 2014
