Junior Freshman Chemical Sciences
Students who wish to proceed to a degree in Chemistry, Chemistry with Biosciences, Chemistry with Molecular Modelling, Medicinal Chemistry or Nanoscience enter through TR061 Chemical Sciences. For the first two (Freshman) years students will study Chemistry, Mathematics and modules from other science subjects. To download a copy of the TR061 Chemical Sciences JF Handbook, click here.
Course Coordinator: Dr. Noelle Scully
JF Chemistry modules provide a general introduction to the fundamentals of modern chemistry, and form the basis for further studies, both in chemistry and in other sciences. In the Junior Freshman year, students take two modules, CHU11101 (General and Physical Chemistry; 10 ECTS) and CHU11102 (Introduction to Inorganic and Organic Chemistry; 10 ECTS). These modules are also available as approved modules for students studying TR062 (Geography and Geosciences) and TR063 (Physical Sciences).
