Biography
Conor is a Royal Society-Research Ireland University Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin. He studied Science at University College Dublin, majoring in Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology, and completed his PhD there. He then held positions at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces and the Leibniz Institute for Molecular Pharmacology. Conor's research uses organic synthesis and chemical biology to decode the roles of carbohydrates in biology. His group synthesises oligosaccharides, inhibitors, and chemical probes to study microbial symbiosis in the human gut and carbon storage in the ocean.
