Biography
Dr Sajjad is a nanomaterial scientist at Trinity College Dublin's School of Chemistry. Sajjad has his B.Sc (2009) and M.Sc (2011) in Industrial Chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, India and received his PhD (2016) from Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Yamagata University, Japan. His research focused on the development of hybrid functional materials through self-assembly processes. He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow (2017-2018) in Yokohama City University, Japan, where he explored ferroelasticity in molecular single crystals. He joined Trinity College Dublin's School of Chemistry (April 2018) on Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Fellowship. Here, he is working on block copolymers self-assembly to fabricate multi-functional optical materials through nanostructuring of surfaces. Sajjad has won various national and international fundings and awards and secured more than +1 million research grants. He is serving in editorial boards of different chemical societies and publishing houses.
