I graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2008 with a B.A.(Mod) in Medicinal Chemistry. For my senior sophister project I worked under the supervision of Prof. Thorri Gunnlaugsson at TCD on the synthesis of anti-cancer agents. My PhD project concentrates on sensing and imaging of biological important molecules using functional lanthanide luminescent gold nanoparticles My other interests include shopping, travelling and going out with friends.
