The characterisation of 2D materials and nanoparticles for biomedical and energy storage applications

I am an expert in advanced electron microscopy techniques and computational analysis for nanotechnology research. My research interests include aberration-corrected transmission electron microscopy techniques and instrumentation, including low-loss electron energy-loss spectroscopy (LL EELS), condensed matter physics, novel 2D materials, bioimaging & analysis. Most recently I have been working on using LL EELS to map optical properties of 2D materials at the nanoscale.

In 2012, I received my PhD from Imperial College London for work on cellular uptake and intracellular stability of carbon nanotubes.
